RUDN University students have won The Gold medals for scientific projects
September 28 - 30, 2017, the XIII International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies «New Time» was held in Sevastopol. This is an international exhibition event, aimed for the development of scientific and innovative cooperation. Annually more than 300 participants from 25- 30 countries took part in the Salon.
The organizers of the Salon: the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent, Moscow), the Government of Sevastopol, the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators and Rationalizers, the Sevastopol Branch of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers, Sevastopol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Scientific School of Causality, LLC «Center» AYUMEL, Association Russian House International Scientific & Technological Cooperation, the International Innovation Club «Archimedes», the World Forum of inventors and researchers (Bucharest), International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA).
Traditionally, the International Competition of Youth Innovations and Developments «New Time» was held annually within the framework of the Salon.
RUDN University students also participated in this international event and presented their projects and according to the decision of the international jury received the Gold Medals:
- Romanets Margarita Mikhailovna - graduate of the RUDN University Agrarian and Technological Institute. Project «Method of adaptation in VIVO of microplants of strawberries» (S.A. Kornatsky, M.M. Romanets)
- Zenina Margarita Anatolyevna - the graduate student, the analytical engineer of RUDN University Shared Research and Educational Center Fundamental and applied research Laboratory of food products quality and technologies with the scientific project «evaluation system of Grapes and Wine quality by the Mass-spectrometry IRMS/SIRA» (A.Yu. Kolesnov, M.A. Zenina, S.R. Tsymbalayev).
Within the organized trip of Zenina M.A. also made a presentation of the new technologies in the quality control area of wine-making production at the Conference «Biotechnologies: science and practice» (on September 25 - 29, 2017, Yalta), organized by Voronezh State University of engineering technologies, Scientific and educational center Nanobiotekh, LLC Vega-Eko, LLC Bioaktual.
The participation at these important scientific events was organized and supported in the framework of the RUDN University Competitiveness Enhancement Program “5-100”.

All developments are practice-oriented and have the potential for further commercialization.

RUDN hosted the competition "On the Pages of the Coursework". Twenty-five papers were recognised, 16 of them received the highest marks. One of the winners of the competition is Ravuri Priyamsha Lakhana from India (VI year, "Medical Business", Medical Institute). She researched non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and spoke about who is at risk and what is needed for early diagnosis.
