RUDN discussed the implementation of the provisions of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children

On November 29, the seminar discussed:
- current documents of the Council of Europe on the protection of children's rights;
- the issues and monitoring procedure of the Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Violence;
- international cooperation of the departments of the Russian Federation in terms of measures to counteract and punish sexual violence and exploitation of children through information and communication technologies (ICT);
- legislation and law enforcement practice of the Russian Federation on the protection of children's rights from sexual violence and exploitation, including through ICT, in the context of the provisions of the Lanzarote Convention;
- issues of prevention and preventive measures in order to comply with guarantees of protection of children from sexual violence, including Diagnosis and treatment of pedophilia as factors of prevention of sexual offenses against children;
- Internet risks for children and adolescents, including trends in the dissemination of destructive information on the Internet;
- the use of the Internet as a means of sexual exploitation and abuse of children.
Presentations were made by representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the staff of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction, the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Justice, the Laboratory of Forensic Sexology of the V.P. Serbsky Center, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the legal academic community from the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation named after V.Ya. Kikotya, Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, RUDN University.
Following the results of the seminar, the draft final resolution was considered.

The first research and practical conference ‘Functional Morphology of the Tissue Microenvironment: From Theory to Practice’, dedicated to the memory of Academician Mikhail Paltsev of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was held at RUDN. It brought together leading researchers from Russia, China and other countries.
The Skolkovo Foundation (VEB.RF), together with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation and the country’s leading industrial companies, announced the launch of the sixth cycle of Russia’s largest supplier ecosystem development program for industry, GreenTech Sustainable Development. Applications from developers of technological solutions will be accepted until October 20, 2025.
In November, RUDN University hosted the country's first scientific and practical conference, “Clinical Laser Medicine in Russia: Advanced Technologies”. The event brought together specialists from various fields of medicine and biophotonics. It was attended by more than 300 scientists, researchers, and practicing doctors of various specialties from Russia and 32 foreign countries involved in laser technologies, as well as over 650 representatives of the younger generation—students, interns, graduate students, and young scientists.
