Student Research at RUDN

We have applicants enrolling and scientists graduating

Always dreamed of making a discovery that would change the world for the better? You can’t stay indifferent to outstanding challenges and unaccomplished tasks, can you? Do you want to write a competitive scientific paper and do your own research led by the top RUDN scientists?

Our Student Research Council (SRC) is willing to give you guidance while you take your first steps in science!

How is the research work of students organized?
For future researchers and professionals: student research clubs and professional associations

We organize clubs and associations to immerse our students in a professional environment. Here, they will learn to conduct research, write scholarly articles, and practice the rules of thumb. The schedule and frequency of classes are set for each club/association individually at the beginning of the academic year.

You may choose a club/association you like not matter what your department is. If you want to change the course of your scientific activity, we will help you find a research team you like.

Your curators-to-be are RUDN teachers and scientists. Experienced mentors will organize round tables with well-known speakers, as well as debates, trainings, and workshops, and they always come up with new learning formats.

For more details you can always contact persons in charge of student research. Their contact details are available in relevant department files once you decide on your research direction.

For enthusiastic organizers: Student Research Society (SRS)

The Student Research Society links students interested in scientific activity, scientists and teachers. It is one of the key student self-government bodies. It brings together active members from all RUDN departments. SRS members are organizers of high-profile scientific conferences and workshops held at the university and key popularizers of science among students.

“SRS promotes interests of activists of the student science. Using SRS, students can develop their organizational and professional skills and qualities required for team work. A RUDN slogan says ‘Be a leader!’ I believe that being part of SRS is being a leader”, Ilya Vlasov, SRS Departmentman.

Become soya - friendly

Soya is one of the most ancient cultivated plants. The cultivation of soya was mentioned in the early Chinese literature (3000-4000 BC). Nowadays, different products, from dairy products to meat, are made from this plant. Such products are rich in amino acids, vitamins and microelements, which are essential for growth and strengthening of the body. Soya looks like pea and doesn't have intense flavour – it acquires the flavour of a product with which it has been prepared.

Accesible biotechnologies

Can you imagine a greenhouse of 200 square meters, situated on the roof of a university? This is real at RUDN University! Today we are going to tell you about a bio-inspired laboratory, where students with scientists are working on propagation of plants on the industrial scale. Sergey Arkadievich Kornatskiy, the head of the laboratory and an associate professor of RUDN University Department of Genetics, Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection, gave us a tour of his workspace.
