Five o’Clock Tea English Club
Our club sessions take our students to the real-world speaking environment where they can actively practice their foreign language skills. This is supported by discussions in English, reading and summarizing fresh news, and recent scientific publications. Out-of-class communication and student language clubs are very important for creative thinking, as they help students become more culturally sensitive both in personal interactions and professional activities in the future.

Student research club “Association of Young Hispanists”
At club meetings we learn about the culture, traditions, history and literature of Spain and Latin America. The club is attended by native Spanish-speaking teachers from Ecuador, Venezuela, Cuba and Spain. Students get engaged in creativity: they prepare presentations and video clips about music, dance, and landmarks of the target language countries. We cooperate with Spanish teachers from Instituto Cervantes in Moscow, and practice language skills in the online speaking club of the University of Granada.

Student research club “Professional Translator”
The primary tasks of the club include acquainting students with the main features of the scientific style of speech in the contact languages, teaching them to write an abstract of an article in a foreign language and properly draw up a list of references. First and second-year students with no scientific experience take the most active part in the work of the club. A separate area of the club’s work is scientific translation. During the academic year, students translate scientific texts on professionally oriented topics. At the end of each academic year, we hold a contest for the best scientific translation from Russian. The authors of the best works receive certificates and valuable gifts.

Student scientific club for masters ‘Design of Architectural Space’
We are regular participants in international competitions, exhibitions, science and practice conferences, we write articles in foreign languages, hold academic trainings in studios. We design classrooms, studios and halls of the Academy of Engineering. We hold workshops for school and college students. Our studios host lectures and workshops by hands-on designers, restorers, mosaicists. Our students take part in the annual Design – Perspective competition for young designers.

Student scientific club for masters ‘Parametric Design in Architectural Space’
Club members explore the parametric design and create parametric-inspired projects - green gardens on rooftops, enclosed courtyards in gated estates, urban oases. Along with stylistic solutions, students study the parametric shape-forming principles and structure manufacturing technology: flow modular furniture, décor items, seamless frames, lamps.

Student research club “Through Hardships to the Stars’
At club meetings, students explore efficient innovation management tools and learn to use them in practice in business cases. We closely work with the University of Trento and the Ural State University of Economics. This cooperation has resulted in joint participation in the Challenge of Trento International Marketing Competition of the Eurasia Youth Forum. Each year, our students participate in The Fresh Connection International Logistics Olympiad.
