The training of students is focused on training specialists in the field of design, diagnostics, optimization of products made on the basis of nanostructures, as well as technological processes of their manufacture. They develop new materials and coatings, study the properties of existing ones; develop integrated microcircuits and semiconductor devices; design nodes of electronic devices for nano system technology and microelectronics, photonic devices, laser complexes, robotic complexes, and also develop technological processes for their manufacturing; nanorobots design and nanosensors.
Nanotechnology is present in all spheres of human activity: instrument making, mechanical engineering, space technologies, food industry, medicine, pharmaceuticals, construction, agriculture, biology, electronics, ecology, construction, auto and aircraft construction. Educational practices and research work of students are carried out in educational and research laboratories of the department equipped with modern equipment and software, as well as at the experimental-measuring and technological base of research centers in the field of nanoindustry and at industrial enterprises.
