Methods of analytical and stochastic modelling are widely used in engineering to assess and design various complex systems, like computer and communication networks, and manufacturing systems, or for the control of transportation systems. The ASMTA conference is a main forum for advancing these techniques and their applications and aims to bring together researchers of academia and industry to discuss the latest developments in analytical, numerical and simulation algorithms for stochastic systems, including Markov processes, queueing networks, stochastic Petri nets, process algebras, game theoretical models, etc.

Isolation and medicinal importance: In 2007, Khanitha Pudhom et al. isolated a class of furanocembranoids1 1 (Figure 1) from the hexane extract of croton oblengifolius roxb sp. Furanocembranoids-1 showed cytotoxicities againest BT474 (human breast ductol carcinoma), CHAGO (human undifferentiate lung carcinoma), Hep-G2 (human liver hepatoblastoma), KATO-3 (human gastric carcinoma) and SW-6 (human colon adrenocarcinoma).

4th Annual Symposium “Urban Soils: Building Better Biodiversity” will be held in New-York, USA as part of the 1st Urban Soils Fest. The Symposium is organized by the NYC Soil Institute in collaboration with the RUDN University and the US National Park Service.

The constant growth of interest in different macrocycles can be mainly explained by their broad scope of possible applications. Macrocycles were proven to be valuable bioactive substances and complexing agents.

Pyrrole core is the basis of many pharmacologically active compounds1,2. For example, 3-substituted pyrroles are found in a variety of medicinal and agrochemical applications, such as efficient inhibitors of histone deacetylase3, HIV-1 transcriptase4, and COX-1/COX-2 cyclooxygenases5. Furthermore, the 4-acetyl pyrroles (JWH series) has moderate affinity for the CB1 receptor6.

The Training School features a program of lectures delivered by leading experts in the area of 5G networks. The objective of the School is to give attendees a global view, with an insight into some specific aspects, on research in key features of the emerging 5G technologies from the networking perspective, addressing models, architectures and applications. Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in stimulating discussions with leading experts, obtain useful feedback, and initiate new collaborations. Lectures will provide the background on 5G wireless communications networks concepts. In the course of the lectures, connections will be made to network architectures and protocol design, including radio resource management issues, while also introducing the mathematics associated with analysis and optimisation of the emerging wireless communication systems.

Heterocycles hold a key point in organic and medicinal chemistry as they act as a bridge between life sciences and biochemical investigations. A significant amount of contemporary investigation is being currently pursued on these compounds worldwide.
