Seminar “On the solutions to initial boundary value problems for the Kawahara equation and its generalizations”
The report will consider model nonlinear equations of Sobolev type in the theory of waves in plasma and magnets. For relevant Cauchy problems obtained results on the existence of so-called critical exponents delimiting regions where there is no local solvability in time in the weak sense and where there is local solvability in time.
Seminar “The relationship between sensory perception and mythical space and time in Cassirer’s Philosophy of Symbolic Forms”
The lecture will examine the properties of sensory perception described in Gestalt psychology (Wertheimer, Koffka). The direct connection will be demonstrated between these properties of perception and the basic categories of the mythical world, as they are shown by Cassirer in the second volume of the Philosophy of Symbolic Forms.
Seminar “Language aspects of integration and self-identification in the modern world”
The scientific seminar is dedicated to improving the quality of teaching foreign languages and cultures in accordance with the new challenges posed to humanitarian education; expanding active contacts with scientists and teachers of foreign languages and humanities from leading universities, raising the status of foreign languages and humanities, developing the academic reputation of the RUDN University and the incoming mobility of leading scientists.
Seminar “Reimagining the Role of L2 Motivation in the 21st Century: Insights from Ongoing Research”
In recent years, world has undergone profound changes, especially in the field of education. As we know, universities play a pivotal role in shaping the linguistic competence of its students, and L2 motivation is a crucial aspect of this journey, my research has ventured into understanding how this motivation is being reshaped by disruptive influences and technological advancements and what are teachers coping strategies.
Seminar “Sustainable management of Blue-Green infrastructure on different scales (region-city-green area)”
The Research center “Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change” Agrarian and Technological Institute RUDN University organizes an international scientific seminar “Sustainable management of Blue-Green infrastructure on different scales (region-city-green area)”.
Seminar “Quasi-classical (short-wave) asymptotics and the canonical Maslov operator”
The laboratory “Nonlinear and nonlocal problems of mathematical Physics and their applications” of RUDN together with MIAN conducts a series of mini-courses on modern analysis on the topic: “Quasi-classical (short-wave) asymptotics and the canonical Maslov operator”.
Seminar “N,O-Chelated azine-enol boron complexes featuring different fusion patterns of aromatic rings in the azine fragment”
In this study, a series of N,O-chelated azine-enol boron complexes featuring four different fusion patterns between the benzene and pyridine rings of the azine fragment was synthesized and characterized. The optical properties of the corresponding complexes have been assessed in dichloromethane solution and in solid state. In the latter case the assessment was performed for both powder samples as well as batches of single crystals allowing to identify several cases of mechanochromism and one case of polymorphism-dependent emission.
International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Media Text and Forensic Expertise: Interdisciplinary Connections and Expert Evaluation”
International research and practice conference “Modern Media Text and Forensics: Interdisciplinary Connections and Expertise” is organized by the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia” in cooperation with the Moscow Research Center supported by the Department of Regional Security and Anti-Corruption Activities in Moscow.
Seminar “Characterization of spatiotemporal dynamics in EEG data with optical flow patterns”
In this study, we investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics of the neural oscillations by analyzing the electric potential that arises from neural activity. To characterize these dynamics, we use optical flow patterns such as sources, sinks, spirals and saddles.
Seminar “Dynamics of language endangerment: a comparison of three Northern Tungusic lects spoken in the Russian Federation”
Most languages spoken by the so-called “small-numbered peoples of the North” (малочисленные народы севера) are currently highly endangered or extinct. Yet there are big individual differences in vitality between languages and even between dialects of individual languages.
Round table “Monitoring of land plots for environmentally safe land use: goals, types, methods”
An important task of state management in the sphere of environmental protection and rational nature management in general and land resources, in particular, is the organization of monitoring of land resources (lands) as a comprehensive system of observations of the state of land resources, assessment and forecast of changes in their condition under the influence of anthropogenic and natural factors.
Scientific seminar “From biomass to energy. Valorization of wastewater treatment. SDG 6 ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’”
Scientific seminar “From biomass to energy. Valorization of wastewater treatment. SDG 6 ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’” within the framework of the multilingual development program in English for teaching staff, it is carried out in order to facilitate the exchange of experience and knowledge between experts in this field, expand the network of contacts and partnerships in this field, practice English and engage in scientific work.
Seminar “Mathematical modeling of multiple myeloma intraclonal heterogeneity, drug resistance, and impact on erythropoiesis”
In this work, we will review some of our modeling studies devoted to MM heterogeneity, drug resistance, and impact on erythropoiesis. In this talk, we will introduce the biological background, clinical presentation, and treatment options for this disease.
Lecture “Metal Catalysis in Chemoselective Peptide Macrocyclization”
This lecture charts future perspective in the field, while bringing attention to the countless possibilities available by diversifying not only the metal, but also the reactivity modes and tactics to bring peptide functional groups together and produce structurally diverse macrocycles.
Lecture “Multicomponent Synthesis of Macrocyclic and Stapled Peptides”
This lecture highlights the development of a methodology that provides a repertoire of synthetic tools for the achievement of N-alkylated, macrocyclic peptides, including inhibitors of protein-protein interactions, antibacterial and anticancer peptides. The lecture also reports on the determination of the three-dimensional structures of the macrocyclic peptide serving a mimetics of protein secondary structures. This includes a detailed NMR study (i.e., TOCSY, COSY, HSQC HMBC, and ROESY) combined with molecular dynamic simulation.
Seminar “Absence of nontrivial weak solutions, some nonlinear algorithms with gradient nonlinearity”
Sufficient conditions for the absence of nontrivial weak solutions of nonlinear inequalities and systems with integer powers of the Laplace operator and with a nonlinear term of the form a(x)|∇(∆mu)|q+ b(x)|∇u|s are considered.
