A scientific seminar on the differential and functional differential equation on topic “Problems and methods of geometric control theory” will be held at the RUDN University.
Speaker: Sachkov Yurii, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Chief of the Control Processes Research Center, Program Systems Institute of RAS, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Russia.
A review talk on geometric control theory will focus on the following issues:
- Examples of applied optimal control problems;
- Basic general problems and concepts of mathematical control theory;
- Orbit theorem, Rashevskii-Chow theorem, Krener’s theorem;
- Pontryagin maximum principle;
- Examples of solutions to optimal control problems;
- Applications to image processing and robotics.
