St. Patrick’s Day
Saint Patrick’s Day is the cultural national holiday of Ireland. It is a public holiday in Ireland, Northern Ireland, the island of Montserrat and the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world, especially in the UK, Canada, USA, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. St. Patrick’s Day celebrations usually include parades and festivals, performing keili dances, and wearing green clothes or shamrocks.
The purpose of the event is to familiarize with the issues of linguo-country studies — the study of the culture and traditions of different peoples.
The participants of the seminar are the 2nd year students. The program includes the presentation of educational materials on the topic of the event.
