Linguistic cultural images of Russia and China in the art works of the representatives of the Far Eastern Russian emigration

The thesis is the first attempt to describe the linguistic cultural images of Russia and China in the prose and poetic works of representatives of the Far East emigration. In the course of using language tools in the creation of both countries linguistic cultural image on a material of texts of Russian poets and writers, created in conditions of the Far East emigration. The analysis is performed using the method of linguistic-cultural analysis of a literary text. The results and study findings can be used in the development of theoretical courses on cultural linguistics, linguistic geography, analysis of a literary text, cross-cultural communication. The complete description of linguistic resources can be used in the classroom for Russian as a foreign language, as well as in the Chinese audience.

Intonational Organization Conceptually Significant Lexemes in Russian Political Discourse (on the example of the 2012 election campaign)

This research is devoted to lexemes conceptually significant in Russian political discourse in linguistic and cultural situation of the election campaign of 2012. It is the subject of a special research for the first time. Conceptually meaningful lexemes is actualized in the political leaders’ speech by intonation means (the place of intonation center, syntagmatic segmentation, type of intonation construction). The research makes a certain contribution to specification and development of conceptually significant lexemes, linguistic and cultural situation, the cultural and thematic field The study materials can be used in lecture courses on political, cognitive, cultural linguistics, linguistics, theory of text, stylistics, intonational analysis of text, in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Medical net-discourse: linguistic and communicative-pragmatic characteristics

The research is devoted to the analysis of linguistic features and communicative - pragmatic characteristics in medical net- medical discourse. For the first time the concept of medical net – discourse has been introduced, the types and genres of medical net -discourse have been classified, their description from the perspective of communication theory has been held. In this work for the first time revealed the languages and features lingvopragmatiс network of medical communication, highlights the main graphic, style, syntax, word formation, lexical and textual features of medical net -discourse. The results of the research can be used in university courses theory of communication, verbal communication theory, speech culture, discourse theory, the theory of intercultural communication, as well as linguistic stylistics and text interpretation.

The semantic relationships of language and culture in the conceptually important Russian vocabulary from the position of the Senegalese linguistic tradition

The thesis is devoted to complex description of the relationship of language and culture at the level of lexical hubs content of the text, identify their hierarchy and functioning in the process of self-organization of the text and the discourse on the background of the Senegalese linguistic tradition. In the structure of the hub of the cultural meaning primarily distinguished the terms " linguocultural universal", " linguocultural dominant", " linguocultural detail", " linguocultural field." The author describes the reflection lexical content hubs in the process of self-organization of text and discourse on a material of Russian and Senegalese artistic works of the XX century. The study findings can be used in teaching special courses on cultural linguistics, linguistics of the text, in practical classes on style and interpretation of the text, as well as in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Conditional language used by Russian-speaking youth in Vietnam: the linguistic-cultural aspect

The thesis is devoted to providing a linguistic and cultural analysis of the vocabulary of the conditional language used by Russian-speaking people on the background of Vietnam’s linguistic culture. It is aimed at analyzing the causes of forming the youth’s conditional language. It has been proved that the conditional language of the youth explicates a special type of culture: the underlying culture of the youth, and in the wider scope, the culture of the youth. The linguistic identity of the youth is reviewed in the capacity of the conditional language user. The analysis is conducted for the lexical-semantic structure of the conditional language used by the modern youth in the context of native linguistic culture and the modern Russian-speaking youth in Vietnam. We also study the influence by Vietnam’s linguistic culture on the conditional language of the Russian-speaking youth living in Vietnam. Materials of the thesis can be used in lectures for courses on general linguistics, lexicology linguistics and culture, in the scientific research be student, in making dictionaries and textbooks.

The Semantic Structure of an Orthodox Liturgical Sermon

The thesis is devoted to revealing the immanent semantic structure of an Orthodox liturgical sermon. The theoretical significance of the research is determined by its contribution to the development of a systematic approach to the study of the texts of exceptional semiotic complexity, which include the liturgical sermon as an organic part of the main service of the Christian church. In the thesis the semantic structure of a liturgical sermon is studied proceeding from the essential opposition of a liturgical and non-liturgical sermon for the first time. The discovery of ontologically conditioned semantic constants and establishment of basic semantic tendencies of the Orthodox liturgical sermon as a central genre in the system of ecclesiastical speech genres made it possible to build criteria for the linguistic evaluation of diffuse texts - non-liturgical sermons - as they deviate from the principles of semantic organization of a liturgical sermon text, up to the limit of their ultimate distortion and transformation into the functional antipode of a liturgical sermon - a speech work of publicistic style. The thesis proposes the concept of the dictionary of essentially meaningful notions that can explicate the discrepancy of meanings fixed in common language and meanings formed in liturgical space. The results of the conducted research can be used in lecture courses on general and particular semiotics, lexical semantics, history of the Russian literary language, rhetoric, and in the preparation of special courses aimed at developing skills in working with a text.

Ethnocultural idioglosses in the author's language picture of the world of Chingiz Aitmatov and their lexicographical representation

The dissertation research is devoted to the reconstruction, cognitive interpretation of the textual associative field of basic ethnocultural idiogloss (HORSE, MOUNTAIN, WOMAN) in the author's language picture of the world of Chingiz Aitmatov and their lexicographical representation. Materials and results of the research can be used in the process of developing lectures, practical courses and special courses in the following areas: intercultural communication, semiotics, psycholinguistics, ethnopsycholinguistics, author’s lexicography.

Contemporary Russian Urbanonyms in the Aspect of Creative Speech Activity

The thesis deals with describing contemporary Russian urbanonyms in the aspect of a nominator's creative speech activity. The material of the research is the urban commercial naming in Russian megalopolises (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan). The research examines the sphere of commercial name giving as a kind of media discourse, which is characterized by increased linguistic creativity. The thesis describes tools for commercial linguocreative urbanonyms creating, analyzes basic communication strategies and tactics, as well as highlights principles of commercial namegiving. The results of the study are a contribution to the development of onomastics, linguistics of creativity, naming; they can be used for naming expertise. The material is also valuable in the linguodidactic aspect and can be used in the practice of teaching Russian in high school, including in students’ project activities, as well as in universities in the preparation of courses on lexicology, word-formation and stylistics, special courses on linguistics of creativity, semiotics, the language of advertising, copywriting, and naming.

Linguistic representation of the concept CITIZENSHIP in the poetic works of E.A. Evtushenko

The thesis deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of the concept CITIZENSHIP linguistic representation in the works of E. A. Evtushenko, the Russian poet of the 60s. The E. A. Evtushenko’s concept of CITIZENSHIP became the subject of a comprehensive study for the first time within the dissertation. It is the first attempt to consider the artistic concept of CITIZENSHIP, and the structure of this concept is also being described for the first time. Previously the concept of CITIZENSHIP has not been investigated in the aspect of artistic, creative view of the world of the poet. The results of the study can be used in the field of cognitive linguistics and linguistic analysis of a literary text for the reconstruction of the linguistic personality of E. A. Evtushenko, as well as in the educational process of students-philologists and linguists.

Substantivization as a way of language compression: the functional aspect The dissertation is devoted to consideration of substantivization as a method of linguistic compression and method of word-formation. The work takes into account the various types of result of substantivization (full result – partial – occasional), comprehensively describes their operation in various fields of communication: media and language of the Internet, as well as the texts of modern fiction, oral language and other sources. The results of the research can be used at University courses of language theory, grammar, stylistics of the text; courses and special courses devoted to language dynamics, live transformation processes of the Russian language, in the organization of the students research work in the analysis of language and text.
