The Center develops technological processes for synthesizing parts from alloys of various compositions using laser 3D printing methods — selective laser melting (SLM) and direct laser growth (DLG).

The Research Center for Architectural Heritage Restoration is an experimental facility for conducting research in restoration of architectural monuments, architectural structures and elements made of metal and wood, monumental painting and sculpture, and cultural heritage sites.

The Research Center for Construction Technologies is a comprehensive research platform that solves theoretical and applied problems relating to the innovative design and construction of industrial, civil and hydraulic structures using modern design, research and calculation tools and methods.

The Research Center aims to develop new products and technologies in rapidly developing fields of science and engineering such as optics, electronics, photonics and instrument engineering.

The Research Center for Mechanical Engineering Technologies conducts research, development work and experimental design in the areas of improving the energy efficiency of thermal power plant equipment, addressing renewable energy issues and reducing the negative environmental impact of the electric power industry.

The Center conducts fundamental and applied research in mechanics and control processes for complex technical systems. It also develops software and mathematical systems for the design of information technology systems for various purposes using big data processing methods, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

The Center conducts fundamental and applied research in prospecting and exploring solid minerals, oil and gas; digital modeling of deposits and reservoirs; reserve estimation and resource assessment; mine design and planning; development of technologies for the efficient development of oil and gas fields, and hydrocarbon transportation and processing.

The Center conducts applied research in automotive and ground transportation, unmanned systems (both ground and aerial), vehicle diagnostic methods, environmental issues in automotive industry and road network design.

The laboratory was established within the framework of the innovative educational program of the RUDN University based on the development of innovative activities, the development and adoption of new educational and scientific programs and technologies, as well as the introduction of innovative forms of the educational process organization.

Another critical task is an active involvement of students and postgraduates of the Department in the scientific rationale of engineering and safe operation of hydraulic works.
