The module assumes the interdisciplinary nature of education: students receive basic knowledge of general psychology and its main branches (age, pedagogical, clinical, engineering psychology, etc.). Much attention is paid to the problems of differential psychology and personality psychology. From the first year, students do practical work on the basis of schools, psychological centers which enables the use of acquired knowledge and the development of new practical skills.

The high quality of psychological education at RUDN University is confirmed by the fact that it was RUDN University that was the first Russian university to secure the right to open a branch of the International Psychological Society of Honor PSI CHI, which was the first not only in Russia but also in continental Europe. Its main goal is to support student research through a program of organizing conferences, publications, awards, local events and grants. Graduates of the Faculty of Philology also have the opportunity to get the second diploma of translator.
