Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) with the joint participation of RUDN Institute of Foreign Languages (Moscow, Russian Federation), Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center of Istanbul University (Turkey, Istanbul), Aitmatov Academy (London, Great Britain), Taraz International Innovation Institute (Taraz, Kazakhstan) for the 25th time holds the traditional scientific and methodological conference International Akhanov Readings – XXV.

RUDN University together with Lomonosov Moscow State University is holding the XX International Symposium on Psycholinguistics and Communication Theory "Russian Psycholinguistics: Results and Prospects". RUDN University invites leading researchers from different cities to participate in the event, as well as to enhance its academic reputation. The guests of the university are planning to take part in the international symposium as experts and key speakers, make reports at the plenary session and participate in breakout sessions.

The Commission on Foreign Languages of the RUDN University is holding an interdepartmental scientific and methodological seminar with an external speaker at the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The speaker is: Ph.D., Butenko Yulia Ivanovna (Bauman Moscow State Technical University) with the report "Creating an educational electronic dictionary for students of non-language specialties ".

In this practical seminar Keith J. Topping provides suggestions for implementing effective peer assessment across many classroom contexts and subjects, offers pre- and in-service teachers a variety of teaching strategies to best fit their particular students and university environments along with straightforward tools to evaluate peer assessment’s impact on their classrooms.

The speaker considers the issue of the strategies and tactics of a romantic communicative personality in situations of romantic communication in Russian and English linguistic cultures.
