The laboratory was established at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia within the framework of the priority national project. The laboratory conducts fundamental scientific research in the field of MRI diagnostics and arthroscopic reconstruction of damaged joints. In addition to scientific research of diseases and joint damage and methods of their treatment, it allows to train students, residents, Ph.D. degree seekers and to raise the level of training of specialists and trainees of advanced training cycles on the basis of modern equipment.

Field of use of laboratory instruments:

  • Photo and video registration of clinical material;
  • Diagnosis and treatment of diseases and joint damage;
  • Training of students and postgraduate students of the RUDN Institute of Medicine;
  • Use of equipment in scientific work, teleconferences, translation of operations to other medical institutions via the Internet.

Main scientific directions
  • Development of new and promising methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases and joint damage with the use of endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
