Participation in the 3rd International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (IWGM)
UI GreenMetric World University Rankings organized The 3rd International Workshop on UI GreenMetric (IWGM) in collaboration with Bülent Ecevit University and Istanbul University in Istanbul, Turkey on 9-11 April 2017.
This year’s International Workshop was dedicated to the sustainability issues in universities, particularly on how universities globally practice and innovate on sustainability. The attendees of the Workshop were rectors, vice-rectors, deans, directors, respectful professors from participating universities which had shown outstanding performance in 2016 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, environment experts, student leaders and other participants.
The dean of RUDN University Ecological faculty Redina M. M. presented the report "Sustainability of the University - Environmental Responsibility of the Students: Experience of the RUDN-University" dedicated to the experience of the organization of environmental monitoring of RUDN University campus of by group of students of ecological faculty at the 3rd International Workshop on UI GreenMetric.
About 100 representatives of higher education institutions of Brazil, Hungary, the UAE, Indonesia, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Russia, etc. participated in an action. Organizers and Chairmen – the national coordinator of the movement of green universities in Turkey – the Rector of Bulent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. Mahmut ÖZER, and the Rector of the Istanbul University and of the Board of Overseers of the Haliç University, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak. and Dr. Riri Fitri Sari is a Professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Indonesia, Since 2010 the chairman of Global rating of UI GreenMetric World University Ranking universities.
The conference “Political Science in a Changing World: New Practices and Theoretical Search”* started out at RUDN University. More than 600 political scientists from Venezuela, Egypt, Finland, Chad, Sweden and 20 other countries present scientific solutions to the challenges a globalizing society is facing. There are more than 70 events on the agenda of the conference organized by the Russian Political Science Association (RPSA).
The conference “For the sustainable development of civilization: cooperation, science, education, technology (Africa’s Path to 17 SDGs: an integrated approach)” opened at RUDN University*. It is attended by ministers of Sierra Leone and Ethiopia, as well as leading world scientists from Algeria, Brazil, Germany, Zambia, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Namibia, Ethiopia, South Africa and other countries.
At the end of September, Vadim Pokrovsky, a professor at the RUDN Medical Institute, visited the Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy in Pune. There he exchanged experience with scientists from Italy and China.
