RUDN Students Analyze 5G Technologies Algorithms during an Internship in Austria
Professor Dmitry Efrosinin from Johannes Kepler University was the academic advisor for RUDN mathematicians. The main area of research is 5G network technology. In particular, the main research objectives were Enhanced Mobile Broadband and Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication. For correct formulation of the problems, RUDN University and Johannes Kepler University scientists studied joint transfer of information using eMBB and URLLC technologies, analyzed the queuing system and its application within the framework of Licensed Shared Access, and also performed an algorithmic analysis of a two-class multiserver heterogeneous system queuing with controlled cross-connection.
The internship lasted a week, but the collaboration between the research teams of RUDN University and Johannes Kepler University will continue. The team of young mathematicians at RUDN University outlined promising topics for joint study.
On August 14, a Memorandum of cooperation in the field of science and education was signed between the RUDN and the Assam University of science and technology (India). During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the field of engineering, physical, mathematical and natural Sciences were discussed.
Adherence to the current scientific agenda, interdisciplinary approach to research and the priority of international collaboration have brought the publication activity of RUDN scientists to a new level. In order to encourage our scientific and pedagogical staff special incentive measures have been developed. Lump sum payments within the framework of Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100 are established for publications in authoritative journals, external citation and publications in the “open access” mode.
On March 4, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Rating Agency introduced QS WUR by Subject 2020 rankings - lists of the best universities in the world in selected subjects. RUDN University has shown a drastic growth in the areas “Linguistics” and “Modern Languages”. For the first time our university became one of the best in the world in “Mathematics”, “Economics and Econometrics” and “Chemistry”.
