About the event

November 22–26, RUDN University will host the International scientific conference of students and young scientists “For the Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation, Science, Education, Technology”. You can participate either in-person — in RUDN University, or online — Microsoft Teams.

In 2015, the UN General Assembly developed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The final document of the General Assembly “Transforming our world: Agenda for sustainable development for the period up to 2030” contains 17 global goals:

  • SDG 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
  • SDG 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
  • SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
  • SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  • SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
  • SDG 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
  • SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
  • SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
  • SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
  • SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
  • SDG 11. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
  • SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
  • SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
  • SDG 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
  • SDG 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
  • SDG 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
  • SDG 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.

Conference Goals

  • form and develop a communication, information and organizational platform for the youth scientific community to discuss current priority issues;
  • organize collaboration between educational, research organizations and public authorities within the framework of youth scientific and technical events at the regional and global levels;
  • implement modern priority agenda at the regional and international level.

Content

The conference will include a plenary session, strategic and thematic sessions on all 17 SDGs in the main regions of the world. We will talk about the main directions of the development of civilization, achievements and challenges, models, technologies and mechanisms with the representatives of public authorities, experts in the field of sustainable development goals at the international and regional levels, scientists and practitioners, students and young scientists. The event will last 5 days and will be divided into 2 blocks: “Legal, economic and social processes”, “Ecobiotech environment, systems, technologies and industry”.

A collection of scientific papers indexed in the RSCI will be published after the conference. Send materials July - October. Texts for publication in the conference proceedings are accepted until November 22, 2022.

We invite students, young scientists, specialists and experts from different universities, research and public organizations, all those who want to discuss the most significant challenges of our time, to contribute to setting the current scientific agenda.
