International Scientific Seminar “Sustainable development of anthropogenic ecosystems of the Russian Arctic”
Location: Agrarian and Technological Institute 423 kab.
About the event
Development in the Context of Global Changes Research Center at RUDN University will organize an international scientific seminar titled “Sustainable Development of Anthropogenic Ecosystems in the Russian Arctic”. The event will be held in person. The working language is Russian.
Assessing the environmental state and sustainable development of urban and technogenic areas in the Russian Arctic is a priority area for research and the implementation of strategic programs and investment projects at various levels. Effective solutions require a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach, which can be developed on the basis of a competence center – an interregional consortium of organizations and experts with the knowledge, experience, and infrastructure necessary for implementing large-scale projects in the field of monitoring, modeling, and designing sustainable ecosystems in the Russian Arctic.
The following areas will be discussed at the international scientific seminar:
- Support for projects of territorial planning of urban green infrastructure (from pre-design surveys and sociological research to the development of concepts and regulations for maintenance and care)
- Environmental monitoring and environmental engineering surveys (from field and laboratory studies to open laboratories and digital counterparts)
- Carbon and climate projects (from carbon landfills and VIP-GZ to predictive modeling and decision support systems)
- Bioremediation technologies (from field and laboratory tests to best practices for implementation into production)
