Power engineering is to the priority directions of modernization and technological development of economy of all countries. Program purpose: Train in priority popular specialists in the field of improvement of the operated power machines: owning knowledge, skills in technical diagnostics, identification of problematic issues, statement of relevant tasks, carrying out scientific research and technical developments, the choice of innovative techniques and cures of objectives, for ensuring compliance of power fuel and economic and ecological parameters of internal combustion engines to the highest indicators in world engine-building.


Educational Process

Design, designing, research and operation of the power machines, units, installations and systems of their management directed to creation of the competitive equipment which basis for working processes various forms of transformation of energy are. Objects of professional activity of graduates of the program of a magistracy are machines, units, and devices for production, transformation and consumption of various forms of energy, including: internal combustion engines; elements of the DSV systems; power stations on the basis of nonconventional and renewable types of energy; actuation mechanisms, systems and control devices operation of power machines, installations, devices and complexes with various forms of transformation of energy; the auxiliary equipment providing functioning of power objects; technologies and equipment for power engineering.
The studied special disciplines cover the main directions of power engineering in relation to internal combustion engines: Mathematical modeling of heat engines, Modern energy technologies, Patent science, Automatic control of heat engines, Cogeneration units on the basis of heat engines, Modern computer communication technologies, Test methods of the internal combustion engine, Special chapter of the theory of heat engines, Automatic control of heat engines, the Systems of fuel feeding of the internal combustion engine, the Problem of decrease in harmful emissions of the internal combustion engine, Modern problems of science and production in power engineering, Special chapters of the theory and designing of the internal combustion engine.


Practice

During passing research the practician students get acquainted with modern technology, the organization and management of the enterprises and also the newest methods of maintaining scientific researches. Within student teaching students prepare and receive skills of teaching activity.
The department has long and productive bonds with the leading Russian Higher education institutions (MVTU of Bauman, Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate, of MEI, KAI, MAI, Moscow political those (MAMI), etc.) and the enterprises in the sphere of power and power engineering (PJSC Mosenergo, JSC Kolomna Plant, engineering plant ZiO-Podolsk Joint-stock company, FGBUN "The joint institute of high temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences", us, JSC KAMAZ, etc.). Students have an opportunity to choose the enterprise for practical training and also to sign the individual contract with any enterprise in the sphere of power engineering.

Having successfully mastered the educational program, graduates gain theoretical and practical skills in the field of a research, designing and operation of steam and gas turbines, mathematical modeling of heat engines, receive skills of the solution of difficult technical tasks of transformation of thermal energy, are capable to make intelligent decisions on the basis of carrying out mathematical modeling and the analysis of various ways of solving the task and also to apply mathematical methods to the solution of practical tasks.
The acquired knowledge and skills will allow graduates to work at the academic institutes and at the enterprises of the power industry in the field of creation and application of a utilities equipment and also in the state and commercial organizations fuel and energy, machine-building and other industries where the modern equipment specialists whose basis for working processes various forms of transformation of energy are are required.
