Profession

In recent years, one of the main trends in the energy sector, increasingly defining its new technological structure, is the desire for significantly higher standards of environmental safety. In this regard, power plants with reduced or zero installations of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere are becoming increasingly important. Such power plants are for instance renewable energy sources (for example, solar power plants and wind turbines), hydroelectric power plants and nuclear power plants. The knowledge gained during training in this program allows you to competently manage greenhouse gas emissions, to plan technological processes at industrial enterprises, taking into account the minimization of climatic impacts. Today, specialists are especially valuable who use methods of using the resources of national economies, in which factors of using local resources are used, including new ones, which can form and introduce closed material resource cycles to meet the socio-economic needs of people.

Educational Process

The program “Energy and resource saving processes in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology” is aimed at training specialists in the field of energy and resource saving. Studying in this direction, you will master the subjects for solving the key problems of the industry: engineering environmental protection, technological safety of industrial production, environmental principles of energy policy. Knowledge of modern principles and methods of energy and resource conservation in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology, the use of calculation and analytical methods, methods of optimization of production processes and the use of the best available technologies in the creation of energy and resource-saving industries are a prerequisite for training a specialist in the field of resource-saving processes and technologies.

Practice

As part of the study of the practical part of the program, students undergo practical training at state and private enterprises that are part of the industrial cluster of the waste processing industry — the largest production associations: JSC Gazpromneft — Moscow Oil Refinery, EcoStandard group, FBU Rostest-Moscow, the largest German company for the production of cleaning equipment “HUBER TECHNOLOGIES”, JSC “ECOTECHNOLOGIES”, JSC Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers. Contracts for practical training were also signed with the Scientific Institute of Industrial Ecology, the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Moscow Region Water Supply Association, and Mosoblgaz LLC.

Career

As a result of mastering the program, students acquire skills and abilities in the field of energy and resource conservation in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology. Graduates in this profile are prepared for professional work:
— State inspector in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources.
— An environmental engineer in industry and other fields of activity.
— Specialist of laboratories for sanitary and epidemiological control and environmental monitoring.
— Environmental auditor.
— A specialist in the departments of executive bodies of state and municipal authorities.
