Profession

Currently, the countries of the post-Soviet space require a lot more specialists fluent in Russian, as there is a tendency to increase the number of migrants from near and far abroad in Russia. In the current conditions, the problem of teaching the Russian language and literature in classes with a multi-ethnic composition of students becomes urgent. The peculiarity of such classes is the simultaneous education of children of different ethnic groups (often living in conditions where there is no language environment) and with different levels of Russian language proficiency. There is a need for specialist philologists who would know the methods of teaching Russian as a non-native and foreign language.
Teachers of Russian language and literature who know how to work in classes with a multiethnic composition of students are able to establish an effective dialogue with representatives of different ethnic groups, form harmonious intercultural and interethnic relations in the classroom, and help students quickly adapt to a sociocultural multilingual environment. In addition, it is no longer enough for modern teachers to have exclusively humanitarian knowledge or master only classical methods of teaching the Russian language and literature. Studying in the master's program “Russian language and literature in a multiethnic environment” will allow the graduate to master interdisciplinary competencies and learn new teaching methods, an integral part of which are electronic and digital technologies.
