The area of professional activity of postgraduate graduates in the “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” program, implemented within the group of scientific specialties 1.2. Computer science and informatics is the activity of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical capable of innovative activities in relevant areas of theory development, creation, implementation and operation of elements of artificial intelligence and machine learning, methods of accumulation and processing of information, mathematical methods and means of supporting intelligent data processing, as well as in related fields of science and higher education, future top managers and heads of IT companies.


Educational Process

The postgraduate program contains educational and scientific components. The educational component of the program is implemented in the first two years of study and includes the disciplines Foreign language, History and philosophy of science, Methodology of scientific research, Artificial intelligence and machine learning, Pedagogical practice. The scientific component of the program is aimed at preparing postgraduate publications with the main results of scientific research, as well as a dissertation for defense.


Practice

The pedagogical practice provided for by the curriculum ensures the preparation of a graduate student for teaching activities in educational programs of higher education of enlarged groups of specialties and areas of “Computer and Information Sciences”, “Informatics and Computer Science”, “Applied Informatics”. The practice is carried out in the structural divisions of RUDN University.


Career

Graduates of the postgraduate program “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” are in demand in various fields of scientific, pedagogical, industrial and economic activity; they are capable of critical analysis and evaluation of modern scientific achievements, generating new ideas and building models for solving practical problems, including in interdisciplinary fields. Possible employers: public and private IT companies, research institutes, public and private educational institutions.
