Every year, the smartest of the smartest gather in the auditorium of the main RUDN University building.

Every year, the smartest of the smartest gather in the auditorium of the main RUDN University building. On 12 October, 686 excellent Russian students and 80 foreign students from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, the USA and Canada met at the XLI Meeting of excellent students of RUDN University.

Traditionally, the event was opened by Vladimir Filippov. Rector noted an interesting fact, that 77% of our A-level students are representatives of the female gender.

Honorary guest of the event was Vladimir Davydov, Corresponding Member and Director of the Institute of Latin America at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He noted that RUDN University "looks at the world with eyes wide-open." He wished the students to appreciate the time and do not miss, but catch every teachers’ word."

The main figures of the event received certificates for excellent studies, active extracurricular and scientific activities, as well as cash prizes:

- 10 semesters with excellent grades - 60 000 rubles;

- 8 semesters with excellent grades - 45 000 rubles;

- 6 semesters with excellent grades - 35 000 rubles;

- 4 semesters with excellent grades - 30,000 rubles;

- 2 semesters with excellent grades - 15 000 rubles.

The main intrigue of the evening was a draw of Lada Vesta. It stood out in all its beauty in the hall of the main building of the University for several days. Traditionally, the "Prize of luck" should get one of the participants of the meeting with ten semesters with excellent grades.

Vladimir Davydov picked the raffle drum ball with the name of the proud owner of the car. At the culmination of this event, he announced the winner of the coveted prize - Yevgeniya Grunina, 2nd year graduate student of Philological Faculty. "I have been working hard for this and I’ve really been dreaming about it for a long time. It is not just about the car. It is the prize of luck that smiled at me, so I won."- says Eugene. "I would like to thank all my teachers at our department. They are masters of their craft and all of them are great! It is thanks to my teachers that I am standing here holding the car keys in my hands."- she said.
