Autumn finals of UMNIK 2016. Projects of RUDN University authors are recommended for funding

On 3-5 October 2016, was the finals of the competition "Moscow Youth Start - 2016" of the UMNIK program (Autumn finals).

On 3-5 October 2016, was the finals of the competition "Moscow Youth Start - 2016" of the UMNIK program (Autumn finals).

The objective of this program is to support young scientists, to encourage massive participation of youth in science, technology and innovative activity and to intensify interest in creating small innovative enterprises, necessary for commercialization of scientific developments results.

According to the Autumn finals results the following projects of RUDN University authors are recommended for funding:

- Alexey Belyakov’s project "Software complex for management of transport flows", A1; Engineering Academy;

- Sophia Chuklina’s project "Development of complex oxide catalysts for the dehydrogenation of bioethanol", A3; Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences;

- Damir Shafigullin’s project "Creation of functional food products of vegetable direction out of soya seeds", A5; Agrarian Technological Institute.

Also at the finals were the following participants from RUDN University:

- Vyacheslav Begishev with the project "Development of software for radio resource management to support maintenance of machine interaction devices M2M on wireless 5G network», A1; Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences;

- Anna Klimakina with the project "Development of environmentally friendly composition of ecological concrete" A3; Institute of Space Technologies.

- Alexey Tsarev with the project "Development of software complex for analysis of IMS subsystem functioning efficiency", A1; Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences.

The winner project of UMNIK Program 2015 "Research of plant biotization methods in clonal micropropagation" by Margarita Yablonskaya (A5, Agrarian Technological Institute) was recommended for transfer to the 2nd year.

Projects under the UMNIK Program are selected in the following thematic areas:

• A1. Information Technology;

• A2. Medicine of the Future;

• A3. Modern materials and technologies for their creation;

• A4. New devices and hardware systems;

• A5. Biotechnologies.

Research grants of 500 000 rubles for two years was provided by FSBI "Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in science and technology."
