“Economics and Business” and “Social Sciences” RUDN for the first time included in the Times Higher Education world ranking by subject
RUDN University was first included in the 2 world subject rankings of Times Higher Education (THE). In the field of “Business & Economics”, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia is in group 301–400, and in the “Social Sciences” - in group 501–600. 13 indicators are evaluated in 5 areas: “Teaching”, “Research”, “Citations”, “International outlook”, “Industry outcome”.
In the direction of “Business and Economics”, RUDN University was included in the ranking due to a breakthrough in 4 indicators: “The share of foreign students” (1.6 times higher than the average in the world), “Ratio of the number of teaching staff and students” (1.7 higher than the average in the world), “Industry outcome” and “Citations”.
In the field of “Social Sciences”, RUDN University showed positive dynamics in the indicators “Industry outcome” and “Income per 1 researcher or teacher”, “Share of international students”. The latter is almost 3 times higher than the world average.
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is among the top 200 universities according to the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings 2021 (THE Emerging Economies 2021).
Only 606 leading world universities were honored to be on the list.
The QS ranking agency has presented the QS WUR by Subject 2021 rankings — lists of the best universities in the world in specific subjects. RUDN has shown rapid growth in the areas of “Modern Languages”, “Linguistics”, “Mathematics”, “Economics and Econometrics” and “Chemistry”, and for the first time entered the list of the best in the world in the subjects “Oil and Gas Business”, “Law”, " Business and Management “, and “Computer Science”.
RUDN University is on the 43rd place in the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2021. Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia has shown the best results in the following categories: international students , student/faculty ratio, institution research collaboration and recruiter review.
