September 30, RUDN University faculty of professional development of teachers of Russian with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation holds the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Innovative Teaching Russian in conditions of Multilingualism". The aim of the Conference– publication of the results of scientific and practical research on current problems of teaching Russian. Following the results of the conference the collection of scientific articles is published. Mandatory copies are sent to the Russian book chamber. Within the conference a competition of articles published on the site http://rusist24.ru is held. Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
