M.Ilyashevich, associate professor of Department of International law, spoke on research at the laboratory for studying migration processes, which are in the centre of everybody’s attention today. Researchers at the laboratory analyze migration processes in the globalizing world, work out practical and theoretical recommendations and cooperate with scientific circles as well as mass media and governmental structures, ensuring complex adaptation and integration of foreign citizens.

Foreign experts spoke about migration challenges in their countries. The German experts said that Germany is on the second place after the USA in the rate of migration and the migrants’ flow has been growing recently. In 2015, 800,000 migrants from Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Syria, Kosovo and Bulgaria came to Germany, mostly young males.

The experts stressed that the success of the integration process depends on how actively the migrants will be involved in the industry of the country. They also spoke on migrants’ learning the language, their education and socialization, saying that there is no notion like “temporary migration” because it always turns into permanent.

Students of RUDN Economic faculty, faculty of Philology, Institute of Law and Engineering Academy took an active part in the discussion.
