A Musical and Poetical Contest dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War A Musical and Poetical Contest dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in the Institute of Foreign Languages on February 20.The Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages, member of the IASHS Professor N.L. Sokolova, addressing the guests and the participants said: “As long as we remember those people who gave us an opportunity to be born and to live with dignity, the Day of Victory will be always in our hearts”. The competition involved students studying ”Linguistics”, “Foreign Regional Studies. European Studies” and “Psycho-Pedagogical Education”. The participants have shown musical, vocal, poetical and dance turns. Some International creative student groups were awarded with Diplomas : group L-202 and LD (1st place); ZR-101and LD-204 (2nd place); LD-201 and DL-203( 3rd place). Some students were awarded with the individual certificates for the artistry and high performance skills.

Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
