PFUR entered TOP-500 universities according to Round University Ranking (RUR) Round University Ranking (RUR) evaluates more than 3,800 universities and chooses 750 best to include in the rating where PFUR is number 491. In 2015, this list includes universities from 78 countries, including 26 Russian HEIs. In the quality of teaching PFUR entered TOP-200 universities of the world coming third after Lomonosov MSU and Bauman MSTU among Russian HEIs.

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
