Rector's Football Cup On September 7 at the main stadium of RUDN University Sports Club "Small FIFA World Cup" final games among students "Rector's Cup 2014", rewarding of winners and solemn closing of the championship took place. In the game for the third place the team of Nigeria won over Gvineya+Mail team with the score 3:1, and in the game for the first place between the teams of Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal passions ran high from the first minute to the last. The main time of the match ended with the score 2:2, and in a series of penalty the Côte d'Ivoire team was lucky. As a result having benefited with the score 5:3, the team of Côte d'Ivoire became the champion of "The small FIFA World Cup" among students "Rector's Cup 2014", the second place was taken by the team of Senegal, the third – team of Nigeria, the fourth – students from Gvineya+Mali team. Four teams playing that day were handed cups, diplomas and pennants. Also cups were handed to the best player, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
