Round table "Translation and intercultural communication today" at IFL

Inter university round table "Translation and intercultural communication today" September 27, RUDN University IFL department of theory and practice of foreign languages will host the inter-university round table "Translation and intercultural communication today" dedicated to the International Day of Interpreter. Discussions will include topical issues of translation as a process of inter-language and intercultural communication as well as modern perceptions of the notion "translation" among professional translators and people living in a foreign language environment and using translation for every day communication: * Process of translation in various spheres of modern human activity (it's organization, types and functions) * New technologies in translation * Possibilities of intercultural communication without translation (translation and non-verbal communication) * Languages of international communication (intercultural communication without interpreters/translators) * Translation in the frame of bilingualism Participants include professors and postgraduate students of RUDN University IFL, MSU, RSHI, Leo Tolstoy Institute of languages and cultures and experts of "Pearson Longman" publishing house. We invite scholars studying translation theory, professional interpreters and translators, teachers of foreign languages, graduate and postgraduate students of foreign languages and all people interested in translation.
