July 27, SCO experts on cooperation in education finished meetings in SCO Secretariat, Beijing. The Russian delegation comprising officials of the RF Ministry of education and science and RUDN University dtaff members took an active part in the work of the expert group.
July 27, SCO experts on cooperation in education finished meetings in SCO Secretariat, Beijing. The Russian delegation comprising officials of the RF Ministry of education and science and RUDN University dtaff members took an active part in the work of the expert group.
The parties approved draft project of main events on SCO University for 2017-2018, formed the structure of reporting documents, reviewed and approved draft Agreement on creation SCO University. The text will be discussed at the ministerial meeting October 20, 2016, in Dushanbe. Finally the parties signed a protocol.
SCO University comprises 79 universities from Kazakhstan, Kyrghyz Republic, Tajikistan, China, Russia and Belorussia and trains students in 7 lines of study: ecology, foreign regional studies, nanotechnologies, IT, power engineering, economics and pedagogy. RUDN University trains students in 5 lines of study in the frame of 15 bilateral agreements.
Since 2012, the international rectorate of SCO University has been headed by RUDN Rector Vladimir Filippov, while RUDN University acts as SCO rectorate.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
