Unofficial visit of the Minister of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining of Jamaica Philip Paulvell. June 16, 2015, Minister of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining of Jamaica Philip Paulvell, made an unofficial visit to RUDN University. During the visit, a meeting with Jamaican students of Peoples' Friendship University took place. During the meeting with the students, the Minister was briefed on the activities of the University in the context of training personnel for foreign countries. Attention of the Minister was focused on the increased number of Jamaican students in Peoples' Friendship University, our University readiness to provide assistance to Jamaica in training in the future. In turn, the students from Jamaica spoke favorably about their studies and stay in the Peoples' Friendship University, as well as about the opportunities for higher education.

Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
