April 12, Dr. Riad Haddad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic visited RUDN University and met professor V.Filippov, RUDN University Rector. V.Filippov told Mr.Haddad about the terms of enrollment of international students and suggested discussing potential ways of cooperation. In his turn Dr,Riad Haddad spoke about the political situation in Syria and its influence on higher education, noted high quality of Russian higher education and expressed his willingness to increase the number of Syrian students in RUDN University. Special attention was paid to Syrian citizens studying in the US and western European countries, who want to continue studying at RUDN University. The parties noted the importance of cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo agency on this matter.

Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
