RUDN and Weifang Medical University are to develop joint educational programs in medical areas

October 9, negotiations were held between RUDN Medical Institute and Weifang Medical University (China). RUDN University was represented in the negotiations by Alexey Abramov, Director of the Institute, Yulia Gushchina, Deputy Director for international activities and Gabriel Moshlyak, Head of the Department for interuniversity cooperation.

Lu Guohua, Vice-Rector of Weifang Medical Institute, as well as the Deans of the Dental and Pharmaceutical faculties — Li Wei and Yang Fang and the Director of the international cooperation department — Ding Yi made welcoming speeches.

During the talks, a format for future cooperation was agreed upon. As a result of the discussion, an agreement was reached to sign a working program of cooperation. The parties outlined a schedule of online working meetings with the departments of institutes to work out the details of the working program of cooperation.

After signing the work program, it is planned to expand interaction: training in educational programs implemented at RUDN University Medical Institute in English, as well as the creation of joint educational programs in medical areas of training.

Weifang Medical University is a higher education institution located in Weifang, in the center of Shandong Peninsula. The university includes 18 colleges (faculties) and implements 27 bachelor’s programs, including such areas of training as medicine, natural sciences, management and law. There is also the Ledao Academy, the Jixi Academy and the Confucius Academy. The library contains over 3.8 million books, including 2.398 million electronic books.

The university has 30 full-time doctoral students, more than 1,600 PhD students and more than 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students, of which over 200 are international students.

RUDN University and Ghana: Common Strategy for Education-Business-Science

RUDN University is to train 100 specialists in Agronomy and Ecology for Ghana at the request of its industrial partner, the Jospong Group, which unites 60 companies. The number of trained personnel will amount to over 600 within 5 years. The fields of study which are of interest to the partner include Agronomy, Information Technology, Applied Nature Management, Ecology. The company is ready to pay for travel, accommodation and scholarships for these students. RUDN University will accept students within preferential rights.

“This trip would be incomplete without visiting the university”: on the visit of the delegation of the Republic of The Gambia to RUDN University

The delegation of the Republic of The Gambia led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mamadou Tangara visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Members of the delegation met with Rector Oleg Yastrebov and the staff of the Agricultural and Technological Institute of RUDN University, went on a tour of biotechnological laboratories and a laboratory for studying soils chemical composition and properties.
