An important task of state management in the sphere of environmental protection and rational nature management in general and land resources, in particular, is the organization of monitoring of land resources (lands) as a comprehensive system of observations of the state of land resources, assessment and forecast of changes in their condition under the influence of anthropogenic and natural factors.
The purpose of monitoring is to regulate the quality of the environment, prevent land pollution and ensure its productivity.
General Director of NIIPI “VidProject” Ekaterina Vorobyeva together with the leading specialist Elizaveta Mukhina, the faculty of the Institute of Ecology (Associate Professor Dmitry Kucher and assistant Alyona Psaryova), as well as students will discuss the problems of monitoring for environmentally safe land use, arising in its practical application, as well as:
- the essence of land monitoring: concept, tasks, content
- methods and ways of land monitoring
- the role of state monitoring of lands in the system of land resources management
- the content of state monitoring of lands.
This round table will be relevant for specialists in the field of ecology and natural resources management, as in connection with the privatization of land plots, the emergence of a large number of land owners and the presence of agricultural producers of various forms of ownership, the problems of agricultural production management are more acute than ever, and their effective solution is impossible without the implementation of state land monitoring.
