Digital technologies working for tourism: RUDN students present a draft tourist card of the guest in the Moscow region

The project of students of the Faculty of Economics “TURPASS Digital tourist card” was awarded by the jury of the intellectual game “Smart City” within the framework of the “Digital Economy Week”. The award ceremony took place on February 21, at a round table on the development of the digital economy in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The digital tourist card “TURPASS” is in fact a guest card of the Moscow region and is a comprehensive service for Russian and foreign tourists, including an electronic card, a mobile application and informational support for the cardholder. This tool will increase the attractiveness of the Moscow region for foreign tourists by creating a convenient environment for them to visit tourist routes. The project was done by 7 students of RUDN Faculty of Economics - Egor Chaika, Anastasia Sergeeva, Oksana Ashirova, Lyudmila Strelnikova, Alina Ermolaeva, Valeria Vedernikova and Sergey Korsakov. The project leaders are teachers of the Department of Regional Economics and Geography - Tatyana Kreydenko and Uliana Mizerovskaya.

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation gave appreciation letters to the Rector of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Vladimir Filippov, project managers and the student team.

The event was attended by Dmitry Sazonov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, heads of the Russian Association of Students for Science and Education and the Digital Generation project group, as well as students and heads of leading Moscow universities.

The intellectual game "Smart City" is a platform where students demonstrate their projects to representatives of state and municipal authorities, as well as to relevant companies. According to the organizers, the proposals formulated by the university teams will be used to develop the Smart City model in the Moscow region.

The organizers of the game are the Government of the Moscow Region, the Coordination Center of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation in the Field of Computer Technology of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation and large Russian companies.
