“Today we attach particular importance to the work to create comfortable conditions for the education of foreign students. In the complex of measures for the socio-cultural adaptation of foreign citizens, the educational component is considered one of the main ones. That is why serious attention is paid to the development and adoption of effective educational mechanisms that can meet the needs of all participants in the process,” Konstantin Ilyich Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

At the anniversary conference, the participants discussed the issues of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign citizens in the context of the current and projected migration legislation.

“The conference was conceived in 2012 as a joint project of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Federal Migration Service of Russia. For 10 years, we have been able not only to raise important issues that require regulation at the legislative and university levels, but also to offer solutions,” Anzhela Dolzhikova, Director of the Russian Language Institute, RUDN University.

Profile specialists of universities discussed organizational and methodological approaches to teaching foreign citizens at digital preparatory departments and exchanged modern practices and digital tools for social and cultural adaptation.
