On the 18th of March RUDN University took part in all-Russian action against HIV devoted to the International Memory Day of AIDS victims (May 15, 2016). The project is organized by Foundation of socio-cultural initiatives patronized by Svetlana Medvedeva and is held in Russian universities 11-20 May, 2016.

On the 18th of March RUDN University took part in all-Russian action against HIV devoted to the International Memory Day of AIDS victims (May 15, 2016). The project is organized by Foundation of socio-cultural initiatives patronized by Svetlana Medvedeva and is held in Russian universities 11-20 May, 2016.

The event started with the conference “AIDS infections in the world and modern trends to fight AIDS”. Among honored guests – Vadim Pokrovsky, RAS academician and Head of the Federal Centre for prophylactics and fighting AIDS, Viney Saldana, Director of the regional support group of UNAIDS Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Tigran Eloyan, UNESCO regional counselor on HIV and education in healthcare and other dignitaries.

Students organized “RUDN University students for life without HIV” flash mob with white balloons with a black ribbon in memory of HIV victims. Pier Narciss, showman, singer and producer, took part in the event.

Student from SAR becomes Mister RUDN Association of African students - 2018

2 March, RUDN chose the King of Africa or Mister RUDN Association of African students – Zim Sankvella (SAR), first-year student of the Agrarian and Technological Institute who won over students from Cameroon, Chad, Namibia, Angola, Ethiopia and SAR. Vice-Mister was Binga Medesh (Angola), third place was taken by Naftalu Kuume (Namibia).
