The purpose of the school is to effectively develop students, postgraduates, young researchers and teachers knowledge and practical skills of modern social communications, as well as conducting career guidance work with potential students of master's programs of IMEB RUDN.
Students and teachers of the University, as well as invited experts, discussed key trends in the field of communications, requirements for industry professionals, and master's programs in advertising and public relations from the Department. Speakers of the event were Ph. D., head of the Department of advertising and business communications, IMEB faculty of Economics, RUDN N. V. Trubnikova, doctor of political science, Professor, General Director of the PR Agency "International Press Club", Chairman of the education Committee of the Russian Association for public relations A. N. Chumikov, K. Philol. n., partner in Digital Communications International Academy A.V. Yablonskikh, Ph. D., associate Professor of the Department of advertising and business communications of IMEB EF RUDN E. A. Kuznetsova and master's students of IMEB EF RUDN O. Emelyanova, S. Tsagareishvili, S. Bokov.
On the first day, the online school was opened by the head of the program "Advertising and public relations" of the faculty of Economics of RUDN, Ph. D., head of the Department.Department of advertising and business communications N. V. Trubnikova. She spoke about the current situation in the field of training communication specialists in Russia, about the experience and features Of the Russian peoples ' friendship University in implementing communication education programs. "The Department trains real managers who know how the market works and how to manage it. This will allow you to find yourself in your profession and life, " Nina Vadimovna stressed.
A. N. Chumikov told the participants of the online school about what makes the profession of Communicator one of the most popular specializations of the XXI century. He noted that under the influence of artificial intelligence
technologies, many professions may sink into oblivion, but the profession of a Communicator will remain indispensable in the near future.
A.V. Yablonskikh also touched on the topic of changes in the communication market and requirements for specialists working on it. According to the expert, digital transformation dictates new conditions for graduates, which many are often not ready for: the lack of digital skills, traditional offline work schemes, the usual practice of long approvals, etc. However, in the current conditions, the market needs station wagons. That is why the master's program is irreplaceable.
On the second day of the school, E. A. Kuznetsova made a presentation of master's programs implemented by the Department of advertising and business communications, told about the features of training in the master's program, disciplines and practical teachers who will teach future masters.
The Department of advertising and business communications of IMEB RUDN has existed since 2003. Since then, it has established itself as one of the leading graduate departments with highly qualified teaching staff. In 2017, the Department of advertising and business communications of the IMEB faculty of Economics of RUDN took 1st place in the industry research of the Association of communication agencies of Russia (AKAR) "Rating of departments of Russian universities that train specialists in the field of advertising".
Master's degree students IMEB EF RUDN O Emelyanova, S. Tsagareishvili, S. Bokov shared their experience of studying and entering THE imeb master's program with the audience, told about the main differences in the educational process and disciplines at the undergraduate and master's programs of IMEB RUDN.
