International Scientific Forum «Questions of Modern Linguistics and the Study of Foreign Languages in the Age of Artificial Intelligence»
The key goal of this international forum is to systematically consider and discuss issues related to the development of theoretical and applied linguistics in the first quarter of the 21st century in their relationship with information technologies and evolving methods of cognition of artificial intelligence; professional discussion of issues related to effective teaching and learning of foreign languages through IT technologies; consideration of scientific problems dedicated to the current state of translation studies as an independent humanitarian interdisciplinary branch of knowledge, as well as the basics of translation activities in the digital age.
Forum tasks
Conduct three main conferences, each of which will consider a specific range of scientific issues:
- fundamental problems of modern theoretical and applied linguistics;
- methodological problems of teaching and learning foreign languages using computer and network technologies;
- theory and methodology of translation and translation activities based on the principles of automation and formalization of linguistic data.
Within the framework of the conferences, the work of sections and round tables will be organized, which will allow deeper focus of the forum participants on the most pressing scientific problems of modern humanitarian knowledge.
Forum mission
To unite Russian and foreign researchers-linguists, as well as specialists in the field of psychological, pedagogical and social disciplines, tutors and representatives of international educational organizations interested in promoting linguistic knowledge and education in their interdisciplinary aspect.

The International Scientific Forum will continue the scientific and academic tradition of discussing numerous important and unresolved scientific problems related to the milestones in the evolution of linguistic knowledge, methods of teaching foreign languages based on e-learning programs and platforms; fundamental foundations of translation studies in the era of informatization, laid down in 2015 within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference “People. The science. Innovations in the New Millennium ”, organized at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Ecology of the RUDN University, with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
