More than 70 representatives of the embassies of foreign countries in Russia, representatives of the Federation Council, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation took part in the round table "The contribution of RUDN University to training national personnel for foreign countries." The event was held on February 5, in an online format and was timed to celebrate the 61st anniversary of RUDN University.
December 15, on the basis of RUDN University, the first QS subject summit in the areas of “Modern Languages” and “Linguistics” started. The topic of the QS Subject Focus Summit is “Languages and Migration in the Context of Globalization”.
During the first hour of work, 1,000 schoolchildren from resource centers in Mongolia, Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan visited the online exhibition “Time to Study in Russia”. On December 17, the online opening of the exhibition took place at RUDN University site.
November 12, a delegation of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of RUDN University, opened the Resource Center for Russian Education on the basis of the private school “Al-Asseya” in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.
Vice-Rector for International Affairs of RUDN University Larisa Efremova held negotiations with representatives of Hebei University of Engineering and the International Corporation “Eurasia”. The parties came to a decision to create a joint project — the Polytechnic Institute of Hebei University of Engineering and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
October 14, within the framework of Russia’s chairmanship in BRICS, a meeting of the International Steering Committee of the BRICS Network University was held in the format of a videoconference at the site of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
October 9, negotiations were held between RUDN Medical Institute and Weifang Medical University (China). RUDN University was represented in the negotiations by Alexey Abramov, Director of the Institute, Yulia Gushchina, Deputy Director for international activities and Gabriel Moshlyak, Head of the Department for interuniversity cooperation.
December 15-17, 2020, the first QS Subject Focus Summit will be held at the RUDN University in the subject areas “Modern Languages” and “Linguistics”. The on-line summit will focus on research in languages, linguistics and migration in the context of globalization and will be attended by 300 leading linguists and specialists on migration issues from 50 countries.
September 16, Larisa Efremova took part in the panel discussion “Partnerships, consortia and network interactions in a new educational reality”. The topic of consortia was discussed by heads and experts from leading Russian universities.
The agreement on the establishment of the Interuniversity Center for Islamic Education was reached at the beginning of August this year at a round table organized by RUDN University Rector Oleg Yastrebov, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Pyotr Kucherenko.
