About the event
Various processes in chemical physics, population dynamics and biomedical applications are described by so-called monotone reaction-diffusion systems characterized by the applicability of the maximum principle. This lecture will be devoted to the theory of reaction-diffusion waves for such systems and to some of its applications.
Speaker: Vitaly Volpert, Head of the Interdisciplinary Scientific Center "Mathematical Modeling in Biomedicine" of the Russian University of Peoples' Friendship; Head of Research at CNRS, Institute Camille Jordan, University
Lyon 1, Ph.D.
