Speaker
Volpert Vitaly, chief of Center of Mathematical Modelling in Biomedicine, Russian University of Friendship.
Topic: Space and genotype-dependent virus distribution during infection progression.
Annotation
We will consider a model describing viral infection spreading in the tissue of a host organism taking into account virus distribution with respect to its genotype. It will be shown how virus genotype distribution, initial viral load, strength of immune response, and the presence of immunity determine the choice between mild and severe infection progression.
