A student of the Institute of Medicine at RUDN University, Keturah Musonda, was brought to Russia by a family loss that changed her life entirely. Back in her home country Zambia, she had to bury her brother: he passed away from a disease that modern medicine has long learned to control. It was then that Keturah realized: her calling is to help people. After graduation, she plans on working as a doctor and on spreading the best medical practices throughout her home country.
Tom-Ayegunle Kehinde Oreoluwa is a student of RUDN Medical Institute from Nigeria, 10 semesters straight A-student. She told her story about discipline, success in university and ways to improve healthcare in her homeland.

If a patient is treated from ischemic stroke after-effects using the cerebral hypothermia method, their diet is adjusted, and they are expected to consume 20-25 Kcal per 1 kilogram of body weight. RUDN medics demonstrated that this value should be reduced by 15-20% to decrease the mortality and disablement rate among such patients by 2 times. April 19-20, the Philological faculty Department of Russian Language and Methodology of Teaching hosted the second final round of the University Student Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language “Russia: Traditions and Modernity”. The winners will represent RUDN at the All-Russian Russian Language Olympiad among foreign students in the autumn of 2019.
April 24 RUDN University hosted a master class of Materia Medica Holding - Career Opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Labor Market. The meeting was attended by graduate students of the medical institute, the direction of "Pharmacy". Representatives of the company spoke about employment trends for graduates of the medical and pharmaceutical fields and vacancies in research and production units that the company offers to young professionals.
RUDN University won the first place at the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions INVENTIONS GENEVA in Geneva (Switzerland), presenting a neurosurgical stereo-endoscope - a device for endoscopic minimally invasive operations. The invention of Russian scientists also won the Special Prize of the International Strategic Technology Alliance ISTA.
On March 27, 2019, a meeting of graduate students with representatives of private dental clinics in Moscow and the Moscow Region and representatives of the Dental Association of Russia (STAR) on the topic “Requirements of employers for young professionals. 43 students of the RUDN Medical Institute met with the leadership of the Diagnostic Clinical Center No. 1, the leading outpatient clinic in Moscow. A 5th-year student of the RUDN Medical Institute Rachel Gainos from Namibia became the winner of the VIII All-Russian Student Dental Olympiad "From Education to Practice" at the stages of surgical and pediatric dentistry. The Olympiad included all sections of dentistry - therapeutic, orthopedic, surgical, children's age and maxillofacial. In total, 47 students from Russia and neighboring countries took part in the competition.
