September 29, the federal stage of the Torch Relay of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019 began in Moscow covering 30 major cities of the country. Igor Miroshnichenko from is among 51 honorary torchbearers who carried the fire of the Winter Universiade-2019 through the streets of the capital.
How to transform an idea into a real project? What do you need to know about doing projects? How to make the documentation? Answers to these and other questions were given at the School of Social Design, which took place on September 15 – 16, in RUDN University.
The project "First aid training club" for students of RUDN Ecological faculty entered the full-time stage of the regional selection of the All-Russian competition "Volunteer of Russia-2018" in the nomination "Brave hearts". Now the team has to present its work to the expert committee of the contest and compete for reaching the final. The presentation lasts only 4 minutes.
June 14-24, 8 RUDN students, members of the SmartMoto RUDN team presented their electromotorcycle at the Smartmoto Challenge Barcelona 2018, taking the 3rd place in the overall standings, while the concept of the battery of their own design became the best in the championship.

May 11-16, 2018, in Moscow 12 teams of boys and girls aged from 14 to 17 from 21 countries (England, Belarus, Brazil, Burundi, Bolivia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Liberia, Mauritius, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uzbekistan and the Philippines) took part in the international football tournament among orphans «The future depends on you». To overcome the language barrier, 70 RUDN volunteers helped the young football players accompanying them throughout the project.
May 16, the opening ceremony of the monument to Gamal Abdel Nasser, second president of Egypt, national hero and a symbol of the struggle for the unity of the Arab countries, eminent leader of the Arab Republic of Egypt was held. A bronze 2-meter bust on a granite pedestal is a gift from the Embassy of Egypt in honor of the 100th anniversary of the politician.
May 3, the festival «Planet Southwest» united RUDN students from 155 countries. More than 3,000 guests came to see the cultures of the world - they learned to dance, tasted sweets, played the drums, tried on national costumes and took pictures.
April 26, first time in 2018, RUDN Fountain started working.
On the eve of the World Health Day. RUDN became a site for «Choose a healthy life!» festival, where guests could have lungs X-ray, consult a dietologist and many other doctors undergoing a thorough medical check-up at more than 30 diagnostic stations.
